This blog and the mentalwod exercises are based on CrossFit. It is the intention to give an insight in how it is possible to work with your mental areas thus enhancing your performance whether you are an Average Joe or a professional CrossFitter.
The exercises provided in Mentalwod can be used by anybody and are broad in a general manner not taking into consideration of specific individual needs. Use Mentalwod as an inspiration to how you can take control of your mindset and step up your game!

Janne holds a master degree in Physical Education and Psychology from the University of Copenhagen along with a European Master in Sport and Exercise Psychology. During her studies she has studied sport psychology and coaching in Canada, at the University of British Columbia, were she also got certified Coach by Coaching Association of Canada. Furthermore she’s a professionally trained Physical Educational teacher from The Paul Petersen Institute of Physical Education.
Working with both Olympian athletes, young talents and everyday people
Janne is part of the external network of dedicated Sports Psychologist working for at Team Danmark, working with the elite Danish athletes and trainers. Currently she’s working with the female U18 national team in kayak – supporting their efforts in qualifying for the Olympic Games 2016 held in Rio de Janiero, Brasil.
Klinik has chosen to work closely with Janne by offering her skills within coaching and sports psychology to their clients.
Every year Janne is a part of the team that offers a week of CrossFit at the exclusive Club La Santa resort at the Spanish Island Lanzarote.
Janne has also worked with Team Butchers Garage in their preparation for the opens and the European Regionals, as well as individual CrossFit athletes.
Certified CrossFit Level 1, weightlifting and mobility
Janne has worked as a CrossFit coach for several years, and is still an active CrossFitter herself. At the moment she doesn’t coach, in that she has decided to put all her energy into the mental training – helping athletes reach their full potential by having them train the mental aspects of performance.
A passionate and dedicated speaker
Janne is passionate and very sought after speaker in clubs, gyms and business’. Her workshops, speaks and sessions are very popular and in demand. Mentalwod.com is based on Janne’s passion for sports psychology, mental training and the ability to overcome mental obstacles when trained in relation to CrossFit.
On everyday basis Janne runs her own company Mental Motion helping her clients develop their mental skills. The clients comes from a broad range of sports such as swimming, tennis, soccer, ultimate, triathlon and CrossFit and include both individual athletes, teams and trainers.
