CrossFit Mental Game Skill #2: Analyze the workout/performance!
Do you have your strategies ready?
For the next couple of days, practice making strategies for different kinds of workouts. If you are competing at the Regionals, you know the workouts already, so start right away. Otherwise take some of the benchmarks, write them down – and start analyzing!
Ask yourself, how am I going to nail this performance?
Never underestimate the benefits of writing things down – it is a way of cognitively off loading your brain! Always write your strategies down - bring them to practice, and start training! Do this over and over again, until you have a complete overview of the strategies working best for you to perform your 100%.
