You should take advantage of having a consistent pregame routine to help get into a mindset for success. You can find examples from many important tasks – in almost any career – that use prepatory routines – from a pilot going through a preflight checklist to a surgeon preparing for surgery. Although sports is not brain surgery, it is very important to have a mental routine to prepare you for what’s to come -Patrick J. Cohn, Ph.D
Remember, that this is not only for competition settings – you should practice routines for every single performance you have in your life. This being a job interview, a presentation at school, an exam and so on – it will help you perform your 100 % because nothing will come as a surprise. So start making your routines, write them down – and start practice!

Note: my goal for todays training was completing 8* 100 m. sprint – at 90% of max, with 30 sec break in between. My motivation for todays training, was based on my foundation of why Im training: To improve my physical capacity, and more specific for today – was to be even faster! – So this is how I got my daily kick today – how did you get yours?
